(Review) Etude House: Honey Cera Priming Eye Serum

I decided that it was about time I became serious about using an eye cream...It's better to start preventing those wrinkles rather than start treating them when they appear, am I right?? And this review goes well with the anti-aging theme that I seem to have going on on my blog now... Anyhow...I came across this new line from Etude House called honey cera and saw this baby :D It seemed like a perfect thing to get since it claims to firm, nourish and brighten under eyes.

Description & Directions:
A priming Eye Serum that contain whitening function that brightens under eye area. Contains honey that nourishes and firms the eye area.
The word "priming" is slightly confusing to me...Is there another eye cream your're supposed to slap on to your skin after this?

After the last step of skincare, use applicator to gently apply a certain amount onto eye area and massage around eye area, softly patting to finish up.

Packaging:
It comes in a 75g tube and you get 20ml of product. I really love the packaging and it's one of the major reasons why I bought it! I hate those small jars that eye creams usually come in because you have to dip in your fingers and try not to use too much. This comes with a metal tip that has been shaped to easily glide along your under eye area. It feel amazing on your skin and it is very easy to control how much product comes out. It is the best feeling in the morning when my eyes are puffy to run the cold metal tip under my eyes.

Texture & Effectiveness:
The texture is like a very light lotion that goes on very smoothly. It doesn't feel heavy at all like some of the other eye creams that I have used.

In terms of effectiveness it is very good at firming and nourishing the skin. I have been using it for a bit over a month and the skin underneath my eyes now looks very smooth and hydrated. It has also smoothed out some of my fine lines. In terms of brightening the eye area it is quite average. I don't see a massive difference in the black circles but I do think it reduces puffiness very well but this is probably because of the cold metal applicator and the massaging and not the serum itself.

Pros:

  • Nourishes skin
  • Smooths out skin and fine lines
  • Reduces puffiness
  • The applicator

Cons:
  • Not very effective getting rid off black circles
Conclusion:
This is now my favourite eye serum/cream! It is does well what it promises  though it is not as effective getting rid off black circles. The metal applicator is perfect for reducing puffiness and applying the product! I wish they had it on every eye serum/cream! I think this is perfect for people in their twenties and thirties who have fine lines and small wrinkles and want to start preventing wrinkles or just making your skin look smoother. I think it might not be strong enough for older people with more wrinkles.

You can get it from Testerkorea for 16,200KRW (approx. 9.30GBP or 13.79USD).
